808 in LA

Well, if you've been to Oahu and have had the real shave ice, Waiola (sorry to all you Matsumoto fans), then I know ever since you came back to the mainland, you've been longing for that day you'd return to taste that smooth syrupy snow that seemed to be heaven sent.  And when your spoon hits that vanilla ice cream in the bottom of the bowl and mixes with the shave ice.....might make your head explode.  Anyways, lucky for us, for the past 3 months Get Shaved has brought that quality to southern California.  In fact all over southern California.  They have a food truck that heads out almost everyday.  Here's their twitter page so you can follow them and get ready when they make a stop in your hood.  GET SHAVED soon, you won't regret it.  As a personal favorite, I suggest #8 on their menu, the 808 Rainbow, it's just like on the island.  Hope this makes the rest of your hot summer that much nicer.  Hang loose everyone.
